Experimenting with some multi-color gel pens. Had to take a photo of this one because the scanner's light was washing the yellows out completely.

I dunno, had this in my head for a while. Pencil with some color adding in Photoshop, 1 hour.

Dumping some older stuff. The first is a concept pic of an insect like fairy. The second is a concept illustration for The Wandering One, one of my regular characters. More of an exploratory illustration which probably will not become part of the character as it doesn't fit it very well.

The Wandering One - Alien Version

Well it's been quiet here for some months now, which is attributable to something I like to call catastrophic system failure. In short, the drive with all of my work was corrupted after a power surge and my computer subsequently developed signs of power problems and had to be rebuilt. I type this now on a new 64bit Vista machine, though the choice of OS is not exactly mine(Microsoft support of 64bit XP be damned!).

What brings this post on is that I have finally gotten a scanner whose software has been kindly made to be compatible with 64bit systems, after much woe in trying to get my old scanners to work with this machine. So now in living(digital) color I give you SCANS!

These are a set of some experimental color play thumbnails I've been doing while bored during D&D. They were done on a roughly 3"x3" piece of funky yet super absorbent paper in a small booklet given to me as a sample at a Gift Show.
